When you’re working in Microsoft Word on your PC, keyboard shortcuts can make life so much easier. You don’t need to go searching around on the toolbar at the top of your screen in order to cut, paste, or format your text. With just the click of a few buttons, you get immediate results!

I think that most people are familiar with these classic keyboard shortcuts…

  • CTRL + C:  Copy text
  • CTRL + V:  Paste text

But there are SO MANY more of them! Here are a few that I find particularly helpful…

  • CTRL+ X:  Delete text
  • CTRL + A:  Select everything in the document
  • CTRL + Z:  Undo something that you just did
  • CTRL + Y:  Redo that thing you just undid
  • CTRL + B:  Make selected text bold
  • CTRL + U:  Underline selected text
  • CTRL + I:  Italicize selected text
  • CTRL + F:  Make the “Find/Replace” pop-up window appear
  • CTRL + S:  Save
  • CTRL + P:  Print
